Bottle weaning

So my 15 month old will have a bottle to nap unless he falls asleep on walk or in the car. He will then have a bottle to sleep and if he wakes in the night.
We tried watering his milk down over time but that just made him pee a lot.
All other times in the day he drinks from that 360 cup.
Any advise or books I could read to help me loose the bottle to sleep ? Had anyone just let him stop when they want to?
I will not let him cry it out.

Hello, just posting to see how you have got on since this post, as I'm currently having the same problem!
He's 15 months old and will not sleep unless he has his bottle, have tried sippy cups but he just refuses and screams. Also still waking through the night for a bottle but think this is just comfort from the bottle.
Thank you

Hi
Sorry I've taken forever to reply. He's still has a bottle before bed and if he wakes in the night we've managed to get it down to 3floz but that's all.
We decided to not worry for a bit I chose sleep over a fight! I have heard of people allowing bottles until 3 so I suppose its not that bad. Might donate to santa when he's old enough to understand.
