What did your 7mo eat today?

I feel like I am feeding my 7mo the same thing and would love to hear what you are feeding your babies! Does anyone have any alternatives to bread? DS is not a fan of potatoes!

It's been a while since mine were that age.

Hope fully this will bump for you Wink

I don't have a 7mo but am going to answer what my 9mo ate today because there isn't a lot of difference (and hopefully it'll bump this for you! And me, because I am also lacking in inspiration).

Breakfast - Porridge (mix of normal porridge oats, readybrek, flaxseeds and ground almond, made with cows milk), with mashed banana, cashew butter and greek yoghurt mixed through.

Lunch - Bits of breadsticks dipped into mascarpone, slices of blood orange

Snack - strawberry/raspberry chia jam from a spoon as I was letting it cool/making it.

Dinner - Pasta (mix of normal wheat pasta and some red lentil pasta) with a tomato basil mascarpone bacon sauce (with an ice cube of carrot puree added to cool it down/add veg lol).

Yesterday he had weetabix + flaxseeds with breastmilk for breakfast, a soft cheese sandwich + strawberries + mango + veggie straws for lunch, and chicken coconut curry + rice + broccoli + cauliflower for dinner.

I did root veg mashed as alternative to potatoes and pancakes and omelettes with small soft veg mixed in when I might have done toast at breakfast. I add mashed banana to my pancake batter and ground flaxseeds. Mine also liked breadsticks.

My 8mo had banana pancakes for breakfast; red pepper humous on pitta and some banana for lunch, and a baby 'pizza' (veg sauce on a flatbread), cucumber and an apple and rhubarb puree for dinner.

To keep things varied, I'm trying to do a different breakfast and lunch each day (cycle of 7) and then he eats similar to what we have in the evening.

Our breakfast list:
Chia fruit pudding
French toast
Banana pancakes
Toast and peanut butter
Weetabix
Scrambled egg
Fruit porridge

I'm still working on the lunch one :)

Mine had mashed up strawberries in yoghurt for breakfast with some buttered toast. Dinner was broccoli omelette strips with some green beans and peanut tahini dip.
He’s a fan of chicken drumsticks, steak, pancakes, Yorkshire pud, banana, spare ribs, roasted veg (courgettes, cauli, broccoli, peppers), avocado on toast, mashed up hard boiled eggs, pineapple, mango, mashed sweet potato, sweet potato wedges, porridge. Not such a fan of hummus, mashed beans and mashed potato.

We’re trying egg noodles and pasta this week too. Hoping that shortly he’ll be having a version of our evening meal to keep things easy!
