Introducing a bottle at night

DD is 6 months old and has been EBF. However she is waking multiple times at night to feed. This can be every hour. I introduced a 4oz bottle of formula last night and she drank it but still woke up hungry after an hour. Is this not enough? I know with expressed milk, 4oz is the recommended.

At 6 months it might simply be developmental waking rather than hunger unfortunately. There are things you can do though.

Have a read of the No Cry Sleep Solution.

Have you tried things like offering a feed ever 2-2.5 hours in the day and using breast compressions?

How you feed a baby (BF/FF) won’t change how frequently they wake. Breastfed babies don’t wake more often.

Babies wake for lots of reasons. Sleep is developmental; you can’t “fix it”. This is a great article:
