I just wondered whether better to use ebm to make scrambled egg or formula? Also how much, and should I use a small nob of butter? Thank you

If you’re weaning, I’d just use normal milk.

Obviously for milk on it’s own you stick with breast milk/formula but for weaning there’s no need - I just made a tiny portion of something I would eat (obviously thinking about salt levels etc.).

Good luck!

It’s fine to use normal cows milk unless there’s an intolerance and just make it how you normally do for you but without any added salt. I use a tiny bit of butter if I’m making it in a pan

Doowop1919 · 09/02/2023 13:54

Agree with pp. Normal milk is absolutely fine

gamerchick · 09/02/2023 13:54

Just use normal milk. I've never put butter in scrambled egg so can't help you there.

theotherfossilsister · 09/02/2023 13:54

Thanks everyone. Will try with normal milk x

Normal cows milk. I’d use unsalted butter if I had it but equally wouldn’t lose sleep about using salted if that was all I had since it’ll be a minute amount consumed.

I used breast milk. Dd didn’t like drinking my freezer stash but didn’t mind eating it. Made a fair amount of rice pudding to use it up in the end.

I never tried cooking with formula.

Cuppasoupmonster · 09/02/2023 14:07

Milk in scrambled egg?! Just whisk the egg then cook it, no milk required.

Hatscats · 09/02/2023 14:09

I don’t use milk for scrambled eggs either, just a big knob of butter!
only ever used full fat cows milk or oat milk when weaning - couldn’t pump much and too much effort!

No milk in scrambled egg, just butter. Milk makes the texture all weird and bouncy. Unsalted for baby.

They can have cow's milk at 6 on the as long as it's not their main drink so using milk in things like Scrambled Egg, Fish Pie and Rice Pudding is absolutely fine.

They can also drink tap water in the UK from 6 months too.

RichardHeed · 10/02/2023 08:12

they can have either but milk is scrambled egg is rank

lewiscapaldi · 10/02/2023 09:40

Absolutely zero need for milk in scrambled egg

Muchtoomuchtodo · 10/02/2023 09:42

A bit of butter - unsalted if you’re weaning

eggs.

Nothing else needed !
