IS there any reason for baby pasta?

... or can I just give her normal pasta (6.5mnths)? I've searched the archives and can only see lots of threads on where you get it and not why. Is it just an excuse to charge lots more for it or is there any genuine reason (e.g. salt?). DD is pretty good at finger food so bigger bits actually better than tiny shapes I think.

Thanks

No, just use normal pasta. As with pretty much all baby food it's a con to make you part with your money. At 6mo normal "adult" pasta is fine.

It's just a ploy to make money tbh.

It's a bit of a con; if you want small pasta, you can just get normal small pasta shapes in the pasta aisle (usually for soups etc)

YOu could just get normal pasta, but if you don't ever give them the peter rabbit pasta letters then you miss the joy that is being able to read their vomit
