Bib with sleeves or pelican bib? Or both?

Sorry this has probably been asked before.

I use the tommee tippee roll and go bib as it is easy to transport and easy to clean. I didnt blw but ds did do a lot of finger foods from 6 months after puree from 5 1/2 months.

At home we kept a stack of cheapo dark coloured t shirts and changed them into those every time. Much easier!

pelican-stylee has been great for catching the inevitable falling bits!

mawbroon · 07/02/2008 13:16

I've seen myself using both depending on what the food is! However, for a long time, I stripped ds down to his vest for meal times as it just meant changing a dirty vest rather than a whole set of clothes.

LOL, not myself of course DS is the one who wears the bib.

BLW? Bibs?...for me the question is more 'what kind of cover can I get for my entire kitchen?' ....dd2 has such an accurate and far reacing aim that I am getting tempted to going back to spoon feeding her mush......certainly less messy!

SmudgeMum · 07/02/2008 22:15

We do both bib with sleeves and pelican bib and often take off his top first (or put one of the little baby bibs underneath the arm bib to catch the dribbles that go down the neck). Not in an I'm making a fuss way, it just happens. DS (now just turned one) cries to put his bib on when he's hungry. He holds his arms out and reaches for the pelican bib and then for his tray so that he can get stuck in!!

old toddler t shirts! (I never found mush any less messy btw)

thebluefoxategreensocks · 12/02/2008 22:25

and how do you protect the carpet?? My 11mo son doesn't want to be fed at all! He only wants to eat what he can put in his own mouth, so it gets very messy!

Aitch is the font of all knowledge!

A change of clothes and a nice warm bath!
