Introducing allergies - how long to wait?

Just wondering with potential allergins how long do you need to wait to check for a reaction before tryng more of the same food? eg I gave DD a spoon of hard boiled egg mashed with milk at breakfast. Could I give her the rest of the egg as finger food with lunch or better to wait until another day?

DH and I don't have any allergies but there are some in the wider family (cousins etc).

I wouldn't be cautious really @trrk if it's just the wider family. Do the DCousins have anaphylaxis?

I have allergies and so does my DSis but I wasn't cautious about introducing anything although if you are worried about certain foods, it's a good idea to introduce for breakfast on a weekday when the local GP is open, just like you did Wink

How are you both getting on now @trrk

Thanks for the response! I’ve gone with the weekday morning approach just the be cautious. I’ve tried egg and peanut butter so far with no reaction. One of the cousins has an Epipen and has spent quite a bit of time in hospital with allergies so reasonably serious ones.
