using the same bowl for main meal then dessert

my mum was horrified that after giving dd her lunch of carrot and brocolli, i used the same bowl for her apple and pear,
said the same to my mum, my thinking is, it all goes down the same way doesnt it! lol

i won't be changing how i do things as its working well for us, just wondered what the MN view is on doing this
dd cetainly doesnt have any complaints she just happily eats it

Well it's going to get mixed up in her belly isn't it Sounds fine to me...

Twinklemegan · 03/02/2008 21:40

I only wouldn't do this if there was sauce from the main meal that would taste horrid with pudding. Otherwise, why make more washing up?

Twinklemegan · 03/02/2008 21:40

God, sorry about the grammar there! Hope you got my drift!

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 03/02/2008 21:43

ha, fine. mums always enjoy having a moan at our parenting skills ime!

LittleBottle · 03/02/2008 21:50

LOL, my DS gets it all mixed up on his highchair tray [slattern emoticon]

Look at it this way, you are introducing him to exotic and adventurous new flavour combinations

suzycreamcheese · 03/02/2008 22:35

no i wouldnt do this

do you eat your pudding from your dinner plate?
i dont do it for anyone else I am serving food to, why should baby be different?

i understand why i just couldnt..their bowls are tiny about 10.2 nano seconds of washing up involved......

theyoungvisiter · 03/02/2008 22:40

I'd probably rinse it out tbh - just because I think I would like to taste the flavours if it were me eating!

nappyaddict · 03/02/2008 22:52

if it were in a bowl i would use a clean one or rinse it out but usually ds' stuff just gets dumped on his highchair and i don't clean that inbetween courses.
