fry onion, add some garlice, mushrooms, pepper, then a tin of chopped toms.

If using meat then I fry that first.

Much cheaper than dolmio too and nicer IMO.

Roast your tomatoes with other veggies, onions, peppers, mushrooms, courgettes, whole garlic cloves - whatever, really - plenty of olive oil and seasoning. When they're done, whizz them all up (leave some chunks if you like)- makes a lovely sauce and is a good way of upping your veg intake.

the alcohol will evaporate in cooking so it is ok to use it. bacon does have salt in it but i don't personally worry about it. cheese does too but i wouldn't stop him eating that!

olive oil
2 chopped cloves of garlic
warm through
add 2 tins whole toms
teaspoon sugar
herbs
simmer 20 mins
whizz
