Question about freezing babies meals

just a quick silly question if i may. I brought some organic beef mince meat today which says freeze on day of purchase. does that mean it must go in the freezer today even if i cook it or can i cook it in a few days time and then freeze the finished meal, ie a shepperds pie for my DS?

As long as it is within the best before date, you can cook it in a few days then freeze!

Thanks Catkin. always seems like a good idea making DS's meals this time of night... then it gets to 9 0 clock and im thinking hmmm, can this wait til tomorrow?!
