Got my DD weighed today - have been weaning her for about 4.5 weeks - she has put on 26oz in the last 3 weeks!! HV thought this was good and all going well. I am relieved because she has had periods of not putting on enough weight (like 0.5oz in 3 weeks over one period when she was 3 months) before weaning (was bf-ing exclusively). HV thought she was ctaching up to where she should be. She does seem to eat - and enjoy! - anything and everything put in front of her. Am aware milk is still the msot important thing, so keeping the milk feeds up to - she just seems to love proper food too! So just wondering if anyone else has experienced this rather big jump in weight at this time?? Absolutely not force-feeding her or anything, she just seems to love it!!!

Hiya, my DD is exactly the same. Started weaning about 6 weeks ago and she'll eat anything and lots of it. Had her weighed 2 weeks before I weaned her and then got her weighed a couple of weeks ago and she's gained nearly 3lb in under 8 weeks. Like you, was told by HV that this was fine, she was just getting back to where she was meant to be cos her weight gain had been really slow for about 6 weeks prior to weaning. I'm just happy she's such a good eater! And she's getting chunky thighs which make her look v cute Hope that helps.

Definitely, thanks ivcoffee! Yes, the thunder thighs are appearing on my dd too! It is nice to hear others are experiencing it too!
