Can anyone offer any suggestions? She loves veggies and fruit and yoghurt, her favourite is cauliflower cheese (I cant give her that every day) but when I tried her on chicken and fish she just clamps her mouth shut and wont eat it, I dont know if its the texture rather than the taste but im worried shes missing out on vital nutrients. So has anyone got some ideas of babyfood I can make minus the meat and fish but will give her more than just mashed up veggies? She hates jars and is not good with finger food which just gets chucked on the floor!
Thank you

Quite normal and don't worry too much.

Keep trying with a really soft white fish like skate or cod. Chicken is too hard at this age. Veal is better if you can get it.

At 7 months she is still getting most of her nutritional requirements from milk, so I wouldn't worry about it. We are vegetarian so our DD is effectively getting mainly mashed up veg!

My DD would only eat fruit and refused anything savoury until she was 9 months old. Then suddenly she started eating it and now eats mainly savoury jars plus whatever we are having stolen from our plates.

my kids are veggie, so have never eaten meat - they're 8 and 10 now, and perfectly healthy! have you tried pulses (lentils etc), beans or soya(may be a bit young for that tho?) can't remember exactly what i used to feed my 2 eldest when i was weaning them, but they've suffered no ill effects. it might be worth a trip to your local library to have a look at veggie cookbooks and/or books on weaning. don't panic. if she's still having breast milk or bottles she'll be fine i'm sure. maybe leave it a while with meat and fish and try again in a few months. hth

Thanks for that, anna what do you put the fish with? I tried her with cheese sauce which she loves with veggies but still no!

I just used to cook the fish in a little milk on top of the stove, or else cut off a piece of fish that I had cooked for us in the oven (making sure there was no salt or pepper on it). And serve it with a puréed vegetable like carrot.
