My db's weight gain has dropped and he's bfing every 2 hours day and night. I'm worried that my blw is leading to him being hungry. He only has two teeth and gets so little from his food and still after a month there are whole chunks in his nappy rather than it being digested.

So I was thinking of getting the dvd. But's it's only 15 minutes and £30. If it is helpful I'll get it, but wondered what you lot thought??

i think it's more intended for HCPs rather than mums. gill rapley is apparently bringing out a book later in the year, but i think, again, it will be more a summary of her work than a weaning guide for mums in the style of AK et al.

so, i would say you'll get enough info from aitch's site which contains links to a summary of gill's study as well as other bits and bobs of useful nutritional info.

what i would say, is that blw shouldn't lead him to be hungry if he's being offered as much milk as he wants.

I don't think a DVD will help TBH.

Milk should be the main source of nutrition at this stage and it's completely normal for babies to increase their milk intake at different points.

Teeth have very little to do with anything, you might not see them, but they are there and if you've ever been bitten by a gummy baby, you will know it!

Even if you were to give your baby mush, if it isn't being digested whole, it won't be digested and will still come out as it went in - you just won't notice it so much.

Join in at Aitch's site and I'm sure you will find others that feel/felt the same way as you and you may even find someone who has a baby a similar age that can buddy you.
