DS has bad reflux and have been advised by doc to start weaning him, he is nearly 6 months. We started last week and he LOVED it, he couldn't get enough and was leaning forward in his high chair to try and get to whatever I made for him. Then this last week it is totally done an about turn and he now refuses to eat anything and will squirm and scream if I try and offer him food, what's happened and what can I do?

my little one has done this although not quite so quickly. loved food for about 5 weeks i think. now doing same as your son,
can only say what others have said to me....maybe teething? or sore throat?
will be interested to see if anyone has anything else to add!

My little guy has done this 4 weeks in. But only on savoury stuff. still opens his mouth for any baby yogs or any fruit based stuff. Savoury.. forget it.

Best result is that you manage to sneak some in which he then holds in his mouth and then slowly spits out 5 mins later. But mostly he cries when i try to offer him anything savoury.

Is it all food or just the veg?

I just keep offering different things (currently to no avail) and hoping that he changes his mind.

One thing that has met with success is rice cakes and toast (although he is a bit gaggy on toast and my nerves are shot).

Giving him finger food has helped stop the crying anyway, even if it hasn't really altered his intake.
