Have been starting to wean Ds for the last week, he seems to love the purees i have tried him with so far, I started on one teaspoon and am building up slowly but tonight he had about 6 teaspoons and then kept opening his mouth really wide looking for more, do you think i should just let him have as much as he wants to limit him? Also the more interest he shows in his food the less he in interested in his milk, is this normal?

How old is he? I weaned my younget 3 at 6 months and I have to say apart from one they definately were very keen on the food and dropped a milk feed within the first week! I can't give you an educated advice though.

He is 5 and a half months - he has bad reflux so we are trying solids to see if it helps.

I think because he has reflux it's worth letting him try as much as he wants. Presumably a tummy can hold 9 fluid oz in size of food IYSWIM, although I wouldn't dream of giving that much that quickly IYSWIM I think you should try and get some professional advice from a dietician or somewhere???
