7 month old pooing all the time

We've just returned from holiday and our seven month old is pooing all the time. We started weaning her before the holiday and while we were away were giving her Ella's Kitchen pouches and bits of fruit from the hotel buffet. She started pooing lots while we were there so we had a couple of days off solids but it didn't get any better. Is this just normal weaning or could it be the pouches/too much fruit?

My little one had a very fast transit (still does at times) so food moved through quickly and her bottom was often sore because her poo was very acidic. For her having ‘binding’ food such as banana, white bread, white pasta, egg was helpful (and recommended by a dr).
she couldn’t and still can’t have too much fruit, tomato, fruit juice or squash, sugary things, or things with high fibre.

If you were abroad could also be a temporary reaction to different food/water there

Thanks @User0610134049 I'm worried she has a bug from being abroad but she doesn't have a temperature and is still fine in herself. Will try some more binding foods. Poos are v frequent but small

It can be totally normal. As suggested above I'd try her with sorting a bit more binding as well and perhaps stay off the pouches for a few days to see if they're the cause.

Bananas can make a good finger food. You can split them from the top to make them easier to hold. She might like some pasta shapes with a bit of sauce as well.

I'd also try to give her food one a day for a couple of days, it sounds like her bowel might cope better just now Wink

How are things now @HettyMeg?

Hi @PritiPatelsMaker things have improved thanks. Think it might have been a little bug.

My son caught rotavirus when we're on
Holiday next year, our gp recommended diorolite plus, it helps to restore their electronlites etc but also has a corn starch in it which helps to firm up th stool but not stop them going, it really helped. X

Ah that's good news. They like to throw the odd curveball occasionally, usually when you think you've got things sussed Grin
