I'm thinking about investing in one. Would be good to get some opinions on its worth etc...

I think it depends on how your family works. If you all eat together and eat good healthy stuff then there is probably no need. Also, if you already have a family steamer and hand blender etc. probably no need.

I got one because we eat late and LO needs to eat separately at the moment and its great for steaming veg and fruit and about to start it for meat also. We dont' have a big steamer.

I find it saves on the washing up and much handier than boiling and then blending. But I guess that just proves how lazy I am .. I just find it saves me time, which I don't have much of these days. But only does small quantities. I am glad I bought mine, but I am sure that there are many here that would say its a complete waste of dosh.

It has made me consider buying a proper big family steamer though and upgrading our diet!

I know this product goes against EVERYTHING that BLW believes in I guess and you could view it as just another over priced product aimed at new mums. I guess I am a sucker for gadgets!

Hi Tiddler, thanks for your post. We don't tend to eat at the same time, and my older children are slightly fussy eaters and I don't want to make the same mistakes this time round! In other words I want to introduce DD to as many flavours as poss and not to be put of when she rejects a taste. I do have a big steamer but have to confess to not using it often as it creates SO much washing up!

I love this for exactly this reason. Able to make small batches and very little washing up!!!!!

I got one for christmas and I love it. It makes weaning so easy. I would definitely recommend it.
