hi folks - dd is 8mths and we have BLW for 2. she is doing ok - but cant really say that she eats a great deal. we are out and about most days and i am struggling to find lunch ideas for her. she tends to get a sarnie/ pitta bread with a bit of fruit. i dont like her to get too much bread so - what do you give your wee one when you are out and about all day??

For lunches out I used to take some of the following

Breadsticks
cheese cut into sticks
sweetcorn/peas in a little pot
little pieces of ham/cooked chicken/low salt sausages
rice cakes with cream cheese or hummus
organix crisp type things and musueli bars (from 12 months)
raisins
cold pasta twists (great favourite!)
cucumber sticks or little sticks of celery
tangerine segements/apple slices/berries/halved grapes

I did (and do BLW) but tend to give yogurts and fruit purees on a spoon as well.
At 8 months, I think DD was eating most of the above, but mainly strawberries, grapes and cheese.
