Hey!
My baby boy is 6 months old, we started weaning him on to solid foods 3 weeks ago. The first week we started by giving him spoonfuls of food (baby jars) and let him go at his own pace, he took to it practically straight away. By the end of the second/third week he eat a full jar, he was crying and opening his mouth for more. He only get solids once a day just now.
I'm just wondering if its okay for him to be eating a full jar so early on. My sister nearly had a heart attack when I told her and said he shouldn't be earing so much so soon... He doesn't seem to have any stomach issues and everything else is normal. Hes still drinking his milk at every feed but not as much obviously. Should I wait a few weeks before giving him a full jar ? X

Hey! When I started weaning my LO would eat quite a bit more than people said he should. We started on pureed veg and he would eat a bowful! After about 2 weeks we introduced a breakfast and then a lunch- he still had his normal amount of milk too. I think as long as you are followig babies cues and giving them a varied and healthy diet just roll with it and enjoy! X

My DS was basically on 3 meals a day by 7 months... he loves his food! He just really took to it too, and we did a mixture of BLW and purées. There wasn't much wasted either!
