Constipation from weetabix?!

My LO is nearly 18 months and usually eats all 3 meals well as well as a couple of snacks a day. He doesn't have a huge appetite but eats a good amount.

However the last 4/5 days he's been really off his food, and has only been pooing every other day (he's usually every morning without fail!) It's (sorry TMI here but relevant) also been either really big and hard or like pebbles. He doesn't seem in pain or uncomfortable, but he has totally gone off his food which is unlike him!

He drinks lots of water and eats a varied diet and is running around all day every day. The only thing I can think of that's been different to usual is he had weetabix a few mornings in a row for his breakfast, whereas he only usually has it once or twice a week. Has anyone else found this to be an issue for their little ones?

Any tips on helping him get back to normal? I've given him prune pouches (the Ella's ones) a couple of times. Will obviously go to the doctors if it continues, but he doesn't seem in pain, he's just refusing to eat anything.

Could very well be the weetabix, it's known for having that affect.

It give him something different for breakfast for a few days and avoid things like banana and sweet potato too, at least until he's back to being his usual, regular, self Smile

Have things improved yet @poorlybaby? Smile

@PritiPatelsMaker thanks for your comment.

Things have improved slightly so hopefully it was that causing it so I know to avoid it! He doesn't usually have it several days running, it was just a coincidence he did!
