My baby (6m) is on day 7 of virtually constant bowel movements (the most we've had this week is 12 in 24 hours). Mostly very low volume but constant, and without fail 30 minutes after breastfeeding. Also getting more watery as the days go by. He sometimes seems to be 'straining' to go.
He's been on solids for a couple of weeks, mostly just tastes though. Had his first allergen (wheat) on Friday, then Sunday then Tuesday and not since then - but the problems started on Sunday so wondering if this is a trigger. Other than that just plain vegetables and nothing that's he's not had before. He's also had eczema since birth more or less, only very mildly but we've had 2 flare ups this week too that he's not had before. I assume this is likely connected.
Does this sound like the onset of a food allergy or a tummy bug? He's fine in himself. I'm thinking maybe slightly fewer wet nappies than usual but I'm not sure if that's because I'm changing his Nappy so regularly.
Didn't get a chance to speak to gp before long weekend but did speak to HV who didn't seem too concerned and basically said could be many causes and ring 111 if he shows signs of fever or dehydration which he isn't IMO.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - literally no idea what this could be as there's seems like there's so many possibilities.
