Weaning- what do I actually do?

I've tried to contact my HV for advice and to get ds weighed but they never call me back so I'm just trying to figure things out for myself, however the information on the Internet isn't always easy to understand.

We've started ds on solids, which he loves. We've gone for a mixture of spoon feeding and blw. So far he's having either a bowl of puree for tea or baby rice or some finger foods. He LOVES tea time!
When should I introduce a second meal? He's waking quite at throughput the night for mill but then isn't very interested in morning milk. I'm wondering if some solids might be a good idea in the morning too?
How many bottles should he be having if he has 2 meals a day?

Is there anything I should be avoiding?

I have older kids - teenagers so I'm wondering if I'm doing jacket potatoes for example if he can have a bit of potatoe and beans? Can he eat tuna yet? Or meat? It's been a long time since I've done this and I'm totally lost.

It depends what age he is tbh
Milk stays the same until solids increase so milk as usual with solids in addition.

If he is 6m+ he can have anything accept honey & whole nuts and limit the salt. (So potato, tuna & beans sound great). Fine to introduce some solids at breakfast if he is keen, don't necessarily think it will stop night wakings.

I gave mine three meals a day straight away once weaning started. Sometimes missed a meal if napping, sometimes meal was just something from ours to try.

So yes just give something from the meals your already making as long as not salty.
