Is there an order to dropping milk feeds?

DS is nearly 9 months, he's on 3 good meals a day. Is breast and bottle fed -
On waking - breast milk
11am - breast milk
3pm - formula
Bedtime- formula
Night feeds - breast milk (2 or 3)

He's been playing with the first feed for a while .. I think because he wakes in the night and take a his milk then.
Today, he's barely taken any milk, a little on waking, a little at 11am (But he starts biting), and 2oz at 3pm. Full feed at bedtime.

I think he's ready to drop one, which would it be? I'm ever hopeful his night sleep will get better so I worry dropping milk with make more wake ups!

My 9 month old dropped her mid morning one last week, she now has formula at 7am, 3pm and 6pm. She sleeps through the night and is on around 18oz a day over her three feeds.

Sounds like they're similar then. Do you offer a snack instead? What kind of things do you offer if you do

I try to be led by her, but usually I don't as she doesn't appear hungry until about 11.30 so I just offer an earlier lunch.

I wouldn't drop any day feeds, there's very few calories in weaning foods so he might well wake more at night.

Mine were still on 6 or 7 feeds at that age.
