Does anyone have any advice about freezing food that has formula milk in it? Eg if i make some puree and add formula milk to it can i freeze it? Also if i don't freeze it do i have to throw it away after 1 hour if DS does not eat all of it?

is it possible to freeze formula at all? i sometimes use the ready made cartons but DS usually only takes about 4oz and i end up throwing the rest of the carton away as he only has the odd bottle so no point in keeping the rest in the fridge for the next day.

I am still breastfeeding but wanting to start using some formula at 6 months as don't want the faff of having to express milk to add to food.

You don't need to use formula in food, or ebm - just use cows milk.

Hi, I froze a lot of pureed stuff but only added formla once deforosted, ie mixing fruit puree with baby rice. Tbh don't worry about it as you prob won't mix that much stuff with formula and if you do you can do it at the last minute - ie deforst the puree and then add the formula.

Just make up the formula as you need it. I never make up a batch of bottles - only make them up when needed. I always have a supply of cooled boiled water ready.
