High Chair For Breakfast Bar/Counter

I don't expect a lot of replies to this as most people eat at a dining table but we eat at our kitchen breakfast bar and don't have room for a table! I'm planning on doing baby led weaning soon but can't find a high chair tall enough! I've searched the whole web!
I've seen a couple that are eye-wateringly expensive but that's it.
I don't suppose anyone else has had this issue and got any solutions?
I know there are clip on ones but unless someone can suggest one they've used and trust, I'm not too keen on the idea. And our stools are rounded and wouldn't fit a booster-seat-esque chair on!
Thanks in advance, I know this is pretty niche.

We just use an ikea one next to the breakfast bar.

I posted the exact same problem a d concerns about clip on high chairs about 13 years ago. We ended up with a hideously expensive M&P hydraulic lift high chair, of which I believe there are now many copy cats. The problem with “ordinary” high chairs is that they get wider as they get taller to remain stable, which is in practically wide for breakfast bar height.

I have a round based one I use at the table, that could be attached to the breakfast bar stools, but the problem is the stool wouldn’t be stable enough as it would need very wide legs with the booster seat attached. Plus the toddler could push themselves away from the breakfast bar. My DD uses the cheap white IKEA high chair without the tray at her breakfast bar and it works just fine.

The clip on ones have to be the best solution in that case. Just don't buy some random import from China one from Amazon, get a brand that's sold in real shops and you should be ok.

Thank you everyone!
@Mummyslittlegiraffe @Soontobe60 is this the ikea antilop one? my only concern with a shorter high chair was that it would feel less inclusive if she was below us but I'll probably just get this one if you guys think it's fine!

@lemon789 yes we just have the ikea antilop, which we use with the tray. She is lower than us, but doesn’t seem to stop her demanding what we have on our plates or putting something she doesn’t want on the side.

We have the Chicco clip on high chair, no complaints but we only use it for travel so it hasn’t been heavily used. Alternatively you could get a booster seat like the bumbo one, I know you’ve said they won’t work with your existing stools, but you could buy one random bar stool that would be compatible.

@lemon789 Did you end up finding a high chair to work with your breakfast bar? We are in the same position and I am struggling to find a good option.

thanks ☺️
