BLW at 5.5 months - is there anything that we need to avoid?

My 5.5 month old dd is showing all the classic signs of needing weaning and has done for the last couple of weeks.
My question is, what are the foods that we need to avoid before 6 months??

I'm really keen to do BLW and am planning on starting off with veggies - i am also interested to know when i can start giving her meat/fish/eggs etc. and how do you go about providing these when BLW'ed. Do you just cook and then cube and put on a plate? Sorry for being thick

Also, what would be a good breakfast for her besides toast? All suggestions very welcome please

I'm aware that we need to avoid peanuts and honey before 1 year but am unsure of what else, if anything else, needs to be avoided. Please help.

Hi Bluenosesaint - I presume you've seen Aitch's blog? Loads of ideas on there (including porridge pancakes IIRC).

my 7 mth blw dd eats rice krispie multi grain shapes for brekkie. Use warm milk as this makes them go softer quicker, then just let her sit there with the bowl. Most of it goes in these days. When she's had enough, she starts chucking the bowl, and playing with it.
It's the only meal she reliably eats at the mo.
