How much is too much?

Good afternoon.
My Little rainbow is 20 weeks and we have been given the go ahead to start purée fruit and veg due to CMPA and reflux.
But my doctor didn't actually tell me how much and when he should have it.
Do I give him milk first then a few spoons of food?
Or food first then top up with milk?

We are only doing 1 new food per week at the moment and will only be having it every other day.

Thanks in advance x

Have a look for example scheduled with food and milk in, but assuming a milk feed is every 3 hours, try and put food in the roughly middle if you can (given naps), but making sure they're not too hungry or too tired.

Best tip I was given was to not make a big deal of it at first and see what they want. If they want to try it from your finger at this stage instead of a spoon, let them.

And my early weaning tip - don't get stressed about volume! They'll take what they want and will absolutely not take more if they're not ready. I realised I had to massively chill out before DD associated mealtimes with stress.

Good luck!

I started out with just tastes first and if she managed a couple of spoonfuls I was happy in the initial stages. Once she got the hang of it and knew to open her mouth as it was food and not milk I think she understood better and wanted to eat more.
We have been weaning about a month now and I just offer spoonfuls and go with her. If she opens her mouth I continue and if not I stop.
