DS likes the BLW approach but keep vomiting do we carry on?

DS has just turned 7 months and has been trying lots of different foods. He is so much keener on munching on whatever is on offer than me shoving a spoon in his face (unless it has yoghurt on it). The only problem is that nearly everytime he hits a lumpy bit, he gags and throws up whatever he is eating plus his latest milk feed. This happens whether it is a veggie chip, rice cake, etc. Usually once or twice a session. He is completely not bothered by it and carries on but it is distressing to watch (particularly with visitors). Do I just carry-on, he is obviously coping with some lumps, or pull back a bit? All advice welocmed.

here's a link that covers similar areas. there are others, but i can't seem to find them at the moment. some babies just seem to have really sensitive gag reflexes, i suppose the important thing is that he needs to digest his milk so that would be my priority, maybe spacing the food out further, he's only 7 months so there's no rush to pile in 3 meals a day or anything. (the gag refex definitely moves back, btw, in fact there is a Really Disgusting example of how certain ladies train it to move Very Far Back Indeed so that they can do well in their careers... )

Thanks that is really helpful (loved the certain ladies example , good to know that he is not the only one. Good advice about not rushing the meals particularly as there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to fit in all the milk feeds and solids.
