Allergy help

Hello!

My baby has a mild allergy to cows milk, my GP told me to do the milk ladder but I'm struggling. Partly because it starts off with biscuits (she's only 9 months) partly I don't know how long to stay on a step and also partly because I'm quite anxious.

She's is also allergic to eggs (she had scrambled eggs and developed hives around her mouth), this was 2 months ago, we have been given a telephone appointment with a doctor at the allergy clinic but not until she turns a year old. The gp said an egg in a cake for example would be ok but not an egg itself. So I just haven't given her any egg at all.

By not being more proactive with the milk ladder am I delaying her overcoming her allergy? By not giving her eggs at all am I making the allergy worse or would I be making it worse if I gave foods with egg in?

I'm just a bit concerned because I don't know whether I'm doing the right thing.. can anyone recommend a reliable book or online source that can help guide me a bit?

Any advice from parents that have experienced this,

Has your GP referred LO to a Paediatric Dietitian? They should have if your LO has CMPA abs other allergies.

Personally I wouldn't even consider the milk ladder until you've discussed it with the Paediatrician.
