FTM Here and just wondering how you feed your babies? I give her some finger food on her high chair aswell as spoon feed her myself. Do you think I should be trying to allow her to feed herself now? I just know if I give her a bowl of food she will just throw all over the floor Grin but unsure as to when I should let her explore her self. She eats anything and everything she is a very good eater and when I put the spoon in her mouth she grabs it off me to feed her self. How did you all transition from spoon feeding to allowing the baby feed themselves?

If she's keen to feed herself, I'd let her try.

Either get a bowl that sticks to the table that she can't pull off or just put the food (small amounts) directly onto the highchair tray. You can give her a spoon but at that age she'll probably use her hands, which is fine. Get a bib with arms. Take off any clothes that are particularly precious/difficult to wash as even with a bib they manage to get messy ime. If the floor needs to stay clean, you can a mat to go under the highchair. Otherwise just clear up at the end.

I'd stick with a spoon for yoghurt or soup, but everything else she can pick up and feed herself.
