Pouches or pots?

Hello! I'm starting to look into weaning for my baby boy and I'm wanting your advice, recommendations, opinions. I keep seeing adverts for the Fill n Squeeze where you can fill pouches with your own home-made food.

This seems really handy as I know so many people say it's easy to just pick up a pouch when out and about but ends up costing quite a bit. Have you had any experience with these and if so would you recommend them? If you haven't use them or don't recommend them? Why don't you recommend them and what do you use instead? Thank you

Pouches sounds like a lot more work.

I used to cook and smoosh food into ice cube trays. When going out, stick a couple of blocks into a small tub, mix and match for difference, eat when ready.

I wonder how easy the pouches are to clean and dry? I just had a silicon mould to freeze food in and some small lidded tubs bought from Boots I think. I still use the tubs many years later for snacks whilst I'm working.

These look ideal! I'll stick with pots then :) also nicer because you can do smaller portions whilst they're new to weaning!

It's good that you're researching but you might get one like my second who point blank refused purées from the off abs only wanted what we were having.

Just mentioning it so that it doesn't come as a shock of this happens. It's also worth not spending a lot on equipment for the purée stage as on our case it got very little use Smile
