Moving on from the high chair

Hello you lovely lot that live in my phone!

When did you stop using a high chair?! My DS is alsmost 2 and his high chair is a total mess and i’m fed up cleaning it. He has taken to climbing and sitting on our dining chairs but he’s too small to reach the table.
I don’t have a lot of room for a kids table and chairs. Can anyone recommend a good booster seat for the dining table. The ones on amazon all have very mixed reviews. Or a kids folding table that can be put away if such things exist.

We have Urban chairs from IKEA. Theyve done my two children from about 20 months old. Ds1 is just 11 and only just now starting to be too tall for it.

We have a booster seat from John Lewis - it was pretty cheap but does the job perfectly well. Much better having DS at the table than at a high chair now he's a bit older.

We had a cheap booster seat from Argos which worked fine for the small amount of time they need it.

We've had this one for almost a year now, and it seems to be lasting well: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088KDS7P6/?th=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21 The cover washes well, and the buckle straps mean you can get it nice and secure on the seat. DD started using it at 18 months. (She started asking to get out of her highchair, then going over to the spare regular chair, climbing up on it, and demanding more food – a nice, subtle message to her parents that she was ready for a big girl seat.)

The ikea chairs linked above were ideal

We have this one too. No complaints!

Junior chairs from IKEA. My kids have all used them from about 2.5 years until about 7 years.
