Baby is 3 months old so too early to wean yet but I feel I need to educate myself on the topic to work out when / how / what to feed.

Any book or resource recommendations please?

I found 'Weaning made easy' by Rana Conway really helpful. It's practical and down to earth, and doesn't take an ideological stance on one approach or another.

I found Joe Wicks "Wean in 15" excellent. The recipes are delicious and fairly easy.

My 18-month old twins love the book - they pull it off the shelf and open it at a page with a picture of oatcakes (which I make regularly), to indicate they want some! :)

Annabel Karmel books are good too.

Oh and this from the Caroline Walker Trust is useful, although it's not a book. It gives information on nutrients, first foods to try, finger foods, portion sizes and sample menus.
