..and how do you use when bottle feeding

LO 4 1/2 months old and i think it is time...but clueless re how to do the baby rice thing

he is always crying too early after a feed and i think he needs "MORE"

but due to poor head control i feel solids/purees would be too much since he isn't upright enough

and also hungry baby milk seems cruel to me - to give something that uis hard to digest

he has enough digestive porbvlems as it is

help

so to a 240 ml bottle how do i prepare baby rice???

It was not so long ago that we were all putting our babies to sleep on their tummies, in very warm rooms. Most babies survived with no harm done. Some didn't, like my cousin. Just because most babies seemed to do okay 'in the old days' doesn't mean it is okay to follow the old methods now we know better. I don't think it is holier than thou to point out the dangers (I think most posters were more worried about the choking TBH).

Yes, the choking issue is what was the most important here.
I was actually talking more generally about the weaning at six months thing.

Hi again, yes, def not suggesting the old ways are better, just trying to say that that might have been the experience of people who had perhaps suggested this to bumbly (i.e. friends and family who were perhaps giving advice), so perhaps she wasn't getting the latest recommendations. also it was more the tone of people's messages, not what they were generally saying, that i found surprising. that's the trouble when you're not talking face-to-face isn't it, sometimes things don't come across quite as intended.
