Breakfast ideas? 10M

I need new breakfast ideas for my 10month old. He likes eggs but I can't make that every day. He isn't into porridge or anything that needs to be spoon fed in the morning. He wants to feed himself. Sometimes I give him toast or cut up apples/fruit but I need more ideas! Especially as he gets to 1y and will start dropping bottles.

Mine used to love banana pancakes. Can't remember which recipe I used to use, but there are a few online 😃

Porridge fingers. You can google it but you basically mix the oats with a small amount of milk and microwave until they are cooked but solid, and cut them into fingers.

Batch cook different frittas and savoury
muffins!
The muffins are lovely warmed up and a little bit of butter on

Toast with various toppings?
French toast
Pikelets
Yoghurt
Sausage sandwich
Cereal

Whatever you have really.

Pikelets

I love warm, buttered, fruity Pikelets!

Failing that, how about cinnamon @ raisin bagel?

If he likes toast, you could try different toppings like mashed avocado or smooth peanut butter?

Toast with peanut butter, or marmite
Crumpets
Pancakes
Scrambled egg (takes 2 mins!, Arguably less than toast or porridge 🤣)

My daughter has eaten PB and toast everyday for about 2 years haha

We mostly do some variation of toast every day. I do cook other meals properly but with an older child that needs to get going in the morning as well as the baby I can’t be faffing around at breakfast time. Vary the topping and/or the bread for some variety so peanut butter on sliced bread, bagel with cream cheese, avocado on sourdough etc. I usually throw some berries at them too.

Thanks all. I don't eat breakfast, so it's a weird one for me. I have to remember to feed DS in the morning. Me not eating in the morning drove my mother crazy as kid but now I have the opposite problem, DS drives me crazy as he's hungry all the time!

My DS had an egg( all the ways of cooking) beans on toast, cheese on toast, sardines on toast, mushrooms on toast, tuna mayonnaise on toast, marmite on toast, left of pasta from the night before or porridge every day until he grew up.

I don't think you need to worry about having a huge range of options.
Unlike other meals, most people tend to stick to a very small range of foods at breakfast time.
