9 months wont swallow

Hi everyone! Hoping someone has some tips.
My baby is 9 months this Friday and loves to try new foods but will not swallow.
He sat up independently at 4 months. Stares at you when your eating, will try anything you have but will not swallow. Confused
He loves to eat purees and yoghurts but as soon as a piece comes off he chews it a bit and then pushes it out with his tongue.
If it goes near the back of his mouth he gags until he throws up.
He will eat purees and loves yoghurt. He will also eat melty sticks and has his hand in anything you are eating.

Just looking for some reassurance this is normal really.

Thank you all x

My DS was like this and had Tongue Tie.

I keep thinking this. But he’s never had an issue with bottle feeding. Except from the very beginning when he was born and they checked for tongue tie then.

Might be worth getting him checked though?
