is a 6 month old having a small slice of pizza and garlic bread (both Morrisons own from the fresh pizza section)..........???

Most of the garlic bread is still there, but he's devoured most of the pizza base of the slice I gave him

no just toast with sauce and veg and meat on

TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/11/2007 18:39

well it was a plain mozzarella pizza (DS1 & 2 prefer plain)....

I just thought "oo he's 6 months now - the worlds my oyster with what I give him" (been doing BLW - sort of - for about 1 month).....chucked a small slice of each on his tray and let him get on with it.......and then thought "oops - perhaps pizza and garlic bread isn't the best thing I could be giving him"

You'll be sorry at night-feed time. A baby with garlic breath is a real eye-opener at 3am, I can tell you!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/11/2007 18:44

oh I don't do the nighttime feed - DH does .....I do the post 4am one.....by which time he's already had at least one bottle of milk LOL.....

I like the way that no-one is actually rating how bad it is that he's eating this stuff

I guess the title wasn't provocative enough.....perhaps a "6 month old baby fed shop made pizza and garlic bread"......would have attracted more comments

pizza crust is a fave baby weaning food in this house

moondog · 23/11/2007 19:39

Not bad at all.
The superintendant of the Food Police has not found you lacking. Carry on!!!

ceebee74 · 23/11/2007 19:41

I think you are going to have to try harder than that to shock us

TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/11/2007 19:42

really.......shop bought pizza and garlic bread isn't on the "poor parenting" list of foods .......

runs off and breathes a sigh of relief

Is this not normal?

Was heartily releived to wean DD in accordance with new (yes I know, but new to me) guidelines so we could go stright to 'proper food' without pureeing...

TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/11/2007 19:44

TM - I thought that it was ok for "proper" homecooked food.......wasn't sure about the supermarket "not quite as bad as ready meal, but not much better" malarky

TellusMater · 23/11/2007 19:46

I think dd's second meal was fish and chips

In a pub

TheQueenOfQuotes · 23/11/2007 19:47

hehe - I love it.
