Cow & Gate Baby Club - WTF???

Right, before I start I will openly admit that I only signed up for the cow & gate baby club so I could get a free beany cow.

However I am a bit by their latest developmental email concerning my baby at 18 weeks:-

"Dear Washersaurus,

In the next few weeks, you may start planning for when your baby's ready to try solids."

Their 'Top Tip':

"Buying a soft rubber-tipped shallow spoon means you'll have what you need when your baby's ready for more than milk. Look for one with a long handle so that you can dip it into jars easily."

...So should I be weaning my precious bf DS2 at 18 weeks onto crap from a jar?

I mean thanks for the advice and all, but I think I will wait until 6 months and then prepare fresh food for my baby.

not sure why you are suprised that a baby food and formula company are geared towards spoon feeding from jars

FWIW, i complained to organix re their labelling of foods as suitable from 4 months....

i got a long convoluted reply and a big box of their products

Oh I'm not suprised that they do it, I am suprised that they get away with it.

I suppose I should just unsubscribe and forget about it.
