Introducing allergens

Hi all,

FTM here and I'm in need of some advice on weaning. My DS is 7 months and we're on our weaning journey. I exclusively pump he's currently having between 6-8oz of breast milk at each feed. He is also on 2 meals a day. We're doing a mixture of BLW and purée.

My question is how and when is it best to introduce allergens into my DS meals? Any ideas would be great.

Thanks in advance

Introduce them one at a time for a few days and, if your DS has no symptoms, the next new food can be introduced. Once he’s started eating them, continue to include them regularly in his diet.
Start small, because the smaller the quantity served, the less severe an allergic reaction may be. The best time to introduce an allergen for the first time would be when you have the opportunity to watch him relatively closely for two hours after eating. For wheat, I started with tubes of well-cooked penne pasta as finger food.

Do you have allergies in the family? If you don't you can just introduce them from 6 months as and when you like.
