Beaba Babycook won't steam - what am I doing wrong?!

Hello -- I am feeling very stupid, but I am struggling getting our new Beaba Babycook to steam and wondering if there is any trick to it. Every time it starts, the light on the control goes on for a short time and than goes off again. I went back to the store and changed the unit, thinking there is something wrong with it, but the new one is the same, so the problem is in how I use it.

Anyone had the same issue? Thanks for your help

did you remember to put water in it?

Light goes on and off throughout the steaming process - like on an iron - as long as right amount of water is in the cylinder bit then should be o.k - i love it - been using it for last 2 months and think its fab - does everything then I blend it all up - so easy.
