Weaning off baby food jars! HELP

Help me please!
I made the mistake of giving my child baby jars when first weaning and now he's 14 months I'm really struggling to get him off them onto actual food! He'll happily eat things like toast, chicken dippers, fish fingers etc but obviously that's not what I want him to be eating, I can't even get him to try a single vegetable (unless it's in the baby jars.) I've tried to blend things and make my own sort of baby food but still nothing he won't touch it, does anyone have any suggestions on how they got their little one to eat vegetables and different meals like cottage pie, bolognese? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you :)

Have you tried serving your homemade food at the same temperature at which you serve the jars? Do you spoon feed him straight from the jar? If so, what about tricking him by putting some homemade food in the jars?! To be honest though, I think he’s too old for blended ‘baby food’. Give him omelettes, pasta in sauce, roast dinner (mine used to love gnawing on a Yorkshire pud) and let him get on with it himself.

@Fivemoreminutes1 I do let him feed himself I leave the plate in front of him with the food on it and he'll only touch the chicken or fish finger etc it's vegetables I'm struggling to get him to eat he seems fine with protein and if it's something like bolognese or cottage pie he won't touch it at all he will only play with the spoon. I've never fed him straight out of the jar so he doesn't have an association with the jar itself I think it's the actual taste because I suppose all the jars have a similar taste? but even when I've mixed the jars with regular food he still refuses it or will only eat a little just want some creative advice on how everyone got their children to eat veg and cooked meals haha

Can you mix a tiny bit of home cooked food in with the jar, after a few days a little more, slowly increase it so eventually he is just eating the home cooked food.
