So my 13 month old boy doesn't have a problem with putting food in his mouth for example I'll give him a tuna spread sandwhich he'll put a piece in his mouth suck the filling out then spit out the bread he just won't swallow it?? The same with any food he'll put it in his mouth then after a bit will just spit it out again. He'll only eat things that dissolve in his mouth like crisps, or stuff that is smooth like yogurt or fruit purée. What can I do about this?? I hate how he barely swallows anything!

I had this with DS before his tongue tie was discovered. Do you think it's just playing or do you suspect a physical problem?

How are hi nappies? Do they look the same as they did when he was just on milk or have they changed into proper poo? If it's going in nappy, it has to be going in the top end?

Sometimes I think we can underestimate how much they do eat and how much they need, which often isn't as much as you think.

How much milk is he having each day? And is he waking in the night for milk?

My baby does have a tongue tie they discovered it when he couldn't latch when trying to breastfeed but nothing has ever been done about it, so you think that could explain why he has problems swallowing? I guess you're right he does eat more than I realise because his nappies are solid poo most of the time! He was still having 3 10oz bottles of milk everyday until a few days ago I decided to try one big bottle at bedtime in hopes he would eat more solids but he is still struggling.

Yes, having had one with tongue tie I'm guessing it's that.

How we got him to eat was by giving him chocolate. At the time we didn't realise that he had tongue tie but the chocolate definitely worked as he was keen to chew it.

Other things that were affected by the tt were sleep and speech so I suppose it's worth thinking about whether you want it dividing?
