Hi everyone!
I'm aware these are really stupid questions, but as stupid as they probably are I need some advice! I've always been nervous about defrosting food so mainly cool fresh, but I'm getting into batch cooking now for my baby and want to clear a few things up. Can anyone advise the following -

  1. If I've made a purree from fresh fruit/veg and defrost it... can I freeze it again if not all used, or if I'm defrosting to mix it with something else?
  2. Can you freeze meat which has already been defrosted and cooked again?
  3. How do I go about defrosting purree unwitnessed meat in it? Do I leave it in the fridge over night? If it's cooked do I just serve it cold?

Again sorry if my questions are ignore the or make me sound thick. As I said I don't really cook from frozen but just trying to learn :)

  1. don’t re freeze it but it can be mixed with something else.
  2. frozen meat which you then cook can be frozen. It would be best in a casserole or something though. A plain chicken breast cooked then frozen wouldn’t be nice defrosted.
  3. yes just defrost in the fridge overnight.
