Oooh, you could be the annoying shopkeeper who says things like " She won't have teeth for long if you keep giving her sweets" And don't forget the raised eye brows.

seriouly, though, I don't really see what else you can do.

pukkapatch · 27/10/2007 11:23

sounds completely and utterly daft.
has this woman never been around babies before?
suggest some proper weaning foods to her.

pollywollydooooooooodle · 27/10/2007 11:38

are you sure that she's not using the baby as an excuse to stockpile for herself?

gerbo · 28/10/2007 14:32

That's scary, weaninghell.....scary. Obesity all over the news....?!

TheEvilDediderata · 28/10/2007 14:50

lol, I don't think she'd take too kindly to the lady behind the counter suggesting 'proper' weaning foods to her ..

Hekate · 28/10/2007 14:53

Do you actually see the baby eating all this stuff, or do they just keep coming round for goodies saying "Just want to buy some chocolate for, erm, ahem, er, the, ahem 'baby'"

TheEvilDediderata · 28/10/2007 15:00

They're probably selling the sweets in the shop next door ... at a healthy mark up
