6 month old eating lots but dropping bottle feeds

Started DS on purées at 4.5 months and he is up to 2 meals per day, given before a bottle as per advice. However, he’s now drinking much less than before, and often has less than 1oz after eating solids. Am I wrong to be giving him a meal when he’s due a bottle? Should I give him his bottle when he’s due (he drinks every 2 hours) and meals in between? So confused and anxious 😥

I never gave before a bottle, I gave an hour or so after a milk feed as milk is still very important at that age.
I gave milk at 7, 11, 3, 7
Food at 8, 12 and 5 when they were up to 3 meals.

@dementedpixie thanks for your reply! This is along the lines of what I was thinking I should be doing, I think I just interpreted things wrong I’m starting him on a similar schedule to this today!
