My 3 month old has just recently gone through a week or so of constipation, she is back to going every day now but this doesn’t happen until 11/11.30pm and she won’t go to sleep until she has been. This would t usually matter but we’re trying to move her bedtime forward a little as she starting to sleep through till 10.30/11 in the mornings- which is lovely in some ways but also means I’m stuck at home til lunchtime- 🤦🏼‍♀️ Has anyone else been through this? Is it just a phase or is there anything I can try?

Might be good to ask for this to be move to a different section

Maybe try tummy massage? Clockwise circles and downwards (YouTube is probably your friend) and then putting them in a squatting position (Google "Elimination Communication hold") would probably help encourage things along. I've not a mad success with it on a tiny baby but it worked for DD when older and bunged up.

As @olderthanyouthink says you need to help her get things moving. Is she bf or ff?

I'd try waking her 15 minutes earlier each morning until you've got her waking at a timer that suits you more.

It seems like she's up for 12 hours and poking before she goes to bed. If you can shift her day gradually so that her day starts and ends earlier the poo will probably change times too Smile

Yes this is what we are trying at the moment- but still fighting the early bed time even though I’m waking her up earlier- she’s clearly tired but just won’t go down- 🤦🏼‍♀️

Are you moving the bedtime earlier by 10 or 15 minutes a time too Tink? Smile

Yes we are trying to but it’s not really working at the moment- she’s just fighting it.

Some babies find that moving it forward by 15 mins and leaving it there for 3 or 4 days helps along with getting her up earlier too.
Mice had one that fights sleep though so you do have my sympathy Thanks
