Freezing meat for baby food

I really hope what i did was ok. have been freezing portions of mashed veg in the icecube trays for a while now. at sainsburys yesterday i brought some organic fresh salmon and also some beef. Rather than making it all at once for DS i also chopped this into induvidual pieces and froze them in icecube trays. is it ok to do this for meat as well? can i now just defost individual cubes of meat the night before and cook the next day? always worry more about meat but hopefully it works the same and it was ok to hack it up?

I tended to cook first and then freeze, cooking very small portions doesn't make sense to me

yes its not a very economical way but i was gonna stick it under the grill when i was cooking something else anyway. was more concerned about the meat and fish being ok chopped up and then frozen / defrosted.

In that case yes, My freezer is full of meat which then defrost and cook, got 1/4 of a cow in there at moment

It will be fine, like mince meat really! Just make sure it is properly cooked once you do cook it.
