Moving from 3 milk feeds to 2

DS is formula fed and very nearly 1. I'm keen to move in from bottles as soon as he's ready. I don't foresee any issues in the morning but think he might be more reluctant to move to a cup at bedtime but I'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

At the moment he has a bottle in the afternoon around lunch time. He eats well at lunch but still takes down around 170 mls of formula too. Should I just stop this all together over the coming weeks and give him additional solid food if he's still hungry or should I try switching this to cows milk from a cup?

I'm estimating I'll run out of his last tin of formula at most 2 days before his birthday.

I'd try cows milk in a cup first

I'd just up the size of his lunch rather than give lunch and milk if he'll happily eat more.

I gave cows milk in a cup with a snack to introduce it gradually.

I'm sure he would eat more. Especially if it involves banana. Can't believe he's nearly 1. Thanks everyone I think I'll give him some milk with his lunch and see what he thinks of it. Probably warm as he likes his formula best if it's still a little warm.
