Hi all, so my daughter will be 8 months in 2 weeks time she was doing so well with her bottle and solids but for the last week she has dropped her bottles right down she won't take a bottle in the morning when she gets up (like 12 hour sleep) and she's going long periods during the day without taken a bottle she loves her food she will eat a breakfast lunch and dinner but starting to worry cause she's not taken as many bottles

Is she offered milk before food?

Also, use formula in cereals to increase her intake.

Thesearmsofmine · 26/10/2020 08:08

It’s normal for her to drop bottles as she W I’ll Ben was stingy Loren solids. How much milk doesnshe take over 24hours? Ian she still having plenty of wet nappies?

BikeRunSki · 26/10/2020 08:08

Surely this is because she is filling up on solids? Pretty normal for this age.

So I offer her a bottle in the morning when we get up and if she won't take I will offer her again before she has a breakfast, then will offer her one again in the afternoon so on and so on she usually takes about over 21 oz a day she's still giving me wet and dirty nappies no problem, think I'm worrying cos HV says main source of nutrition should be from her bottles

21oz is a perfectly fine amount for an 8 month old. A minimum of 20oz is recommended from 6 months. Milk in cereal and other dairy products also count towards this total

Thank you put me at ease a bit 😊😊😊
