Formula intake?

My DS is 24 weeks old and I started him slowly on solids at 4 months old as he's was showing signs he was more then ready. The last couple of days he's been seeming more interested in food then his formula. He used to have 34-36oz a day but it's now around 20-25oz a day. Should I be worried or is this normal as he's now on 2 meals a day. (Porridge and fruit purée made with his formula on a morning- so he's still getting the nutrients and goodness from the formula. And veggies on an evening)

This is what was working for us but as of recently he's taking less milk. He is also teething. Has currently just finished screaming the house down and has finally settled to sleep 😢😫

Im a first time mammy and have no one to really speak to about this... so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I hope this made sense. Thank you 🙏🏻

Does the 20-24oz include the formula you use to make his porridge? Current advice is not to start weaning until approx 26 weeks so I don't think it's ideal he's dropping so much milk before he's even reached this point. Do you weigh him and is he maintaining his centile?

How much porridge and veggies is he eating? Vegetables are obviously full of goodness but very low in calories. Could he be getting upset as he's filled up his little tummy but isn't actually getting the calories he needs. Porridge as well is extremely filling. When my little girl has porridge for breakfast she's not interested in eating again until lunch. Which is fine as she's a year old and fully weaned but wouldn't be great if she was still needing plenty of bottles. If he's eating quite a lot of either I would cut down his portion size to try and encourage him to take a bit more milk.

He may however just be struggling with his teeth which definitely can have an impact on his feeding. Perhaps give your health visitor a call for some advice :)

To add to the poster above. Think about wet nappies too. I think pre-weaning age you are still expecting 8 or so of those per day. Just make sure baby is still getting enough fluid, especially with central heating on full atm.
